Design Exercise: PICA Campus Gardens at University of California Santa Cruz
The Program In Community and Agroecology (PICA) is an intentional living community focused on agroecology, sustainable food systems, and community building. The half-acre gardens (A & B) are located in“The Village”, an on-campus housing community at the University of California.
This design exercise was created for fulfilling the Permaculture Design Certificate course offered at Kresge College. The full-scale project includes multi-layered site plan drawings and an extensive site plan writeup.
